Bitfarms announces exit from bitcoin mining within two years, fully shifting to AI computing infrastructure
Jinse Finance reported that crypto mining company Bitfarms announced plans to gradually shut down its bitcoin mining operations over the next two years, shifting its focus to providing high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. As the bitcoin price declines and profit margins narrow, Bitfarms has become one of a growing number of mining companies turning to high-performance computing services. The company also stated that its facility in Washington State will be repurposed to support AI or high-performance computing tasks.
