On November 30, it was reported that in 2025, the AB Charity Foundation will continue to increase its support for Timor-Leste, focusing on two main areas: education and basic livelihood. The foundation will launch sustainable and complementary public welfare projects targeting local youth and children in difficult circumstances, aiming to promote sustainable social development in the region. On July 4, 2025, the AB Charity Foundation will officially donate $500,000 to Timor-Leste to establish and expand scholarship programs, with a focus on students from economically disadvantaged families. This initiative aims to provide more stable learning opportunities for Timor-Leste’s youth, alleviate the pressure of tuition and living costs, and help them enhance their future employment and development capabilities while completing their studies. In addition to educational support, the foundation also pays attention to the basic survival and quality of life of children. On November 21, 2025, the AB Charity Foundation will donate goods equivalent to $691,412 to Timor-Leste for material assistance to impoverished children, aiming to improve their daily lives and growth environment. The AB Charity Foundation pointed out that "having enough to eat, warm clothing, and access to education" are the foundations for children to grow up with dignity, and education is the key to breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty. The total donation of $1,191,412 to Timor-Leste, through a combination of scholarships and material assistance, addresses both "current living conditions" and "future development," reflecting the AB Charity Foundation’s long-term global commitment to the mission of "technology for good, empowering the future." It is reported that the AB Charity Foundation is an independent international non-governmental organization registered in Ireland and enjoys EU legal entity status, with technical and financial support from AB DAO. The foundation is committed to utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence to build a transparent, trustworthy, and traceable public welfare infrastructure, thereby promoting the sustainable development of public undertakings such as education, healthcare, environment, and humanitarian aid.
