Bitget Sponsors Whale Lab at Australian Crypto Convention, Searching For Killer Projects in Australia

Victoria, Seychelles, November 8, 2023 – Bitget, the world's leading cryptocurrency exchange and web3 company, has proudly announced the sponsor for Bitget Whale Lab on the inaugural day of the Australian Crypto Convention, taking place on November 11th. Bitget is engaging in an active search within the Web3 realm to discover and spotlight new talent and pioneering projects that align with its mission of advancing technology and business norms.
Killer Whales Season One has wrapped with a planned release in Q1 2024. The production team and partners are actively scouting the Web3 industry to discover new talent and innovative projects that are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and business practices. These exciting projects could potentially be featured in upcoming seasons of Killer Whales.
As part of this collaboration, Bitget will assess multiple startups and founders who will present their pitches to a panel of venture capitalists. Bitget will then curate a selection of projects that they believe are well-suited to be featured in upcoming seasons of Killer Whales, starting from season two and beyond, as the Official Search Partner of the show.
Gracy Chen, Managing director at Bitget, is just one of the whales for the Killer Whales show alongside some of the most influential names and figures within the Web 3.0 industry. Bitget and the local HELLO Labs team are excited to identify the talent emerging from Australia and participation in the event and project selection process.
“The Australian Crypto Convention has announced a significant commitment from multiple investors and VCs, designated for their live pitch–fest in the Bitget Whale Lab on Day 1 of the convention this November in Melbourne. Australian VC firms’ Faculty Group and Apollo Crypto have been named as two of the leading contributors to this commitment.”
Bitget has been on a relentless journey to evolve alongside the ever-changing crypto world. As both an industry and community, dedicated to supporting the development of the next generation of innovation, the latest being the EmpowerX fund dedicated to fostering the platform’s ecosystem development, which will seek investment opportunities in regional exchanges, data analytics firms, media organisations and other entities that contribute to the growth of its ecosystem.
Earlier this year, Bitget also launched the US$100 Million Web3 Fund. The fund focuses on identifying VCs and projects globally, while prioritising Asia-Pacific based partners with a clear roadmap and innovations driven to solving real-world problems. The VCs the Bitget Web3 Fund has invested in so far include Foresight Ventures, Dragonfly Capital, SevenX Ventures, Gitcoin Fund, DAO Maker, and ABCDE Capital.
Killer Whales season one, co-produced by CoinMarketCap, is scheduled to premiere in Q1 2024 on leading streaming platforms, with details regarding its distribution set to be revealed soon.
