  • Aster launches Phase 5 buyback, allocating up to 80% of platform fees to ASTER repurchases.
  • The program splits fees between automatic buys and flexible reserves for market volatility.
  • All buybacks execute on-chain with public wallets, reinforcing transparency and tokenomics.

Aster has launched Phase 5 of its ASTER buyback program, expanding its structured approach to token value support and transparency. The company confirmed the new phase will begin on December 23, 2025, and run through daily, automated execution.

The update comes after previous buyback stages, reflecting Aster’s ongoing emphasis on long-term tokenomics management. Aster claims that up to 80% of daily platform fees will go toward repurchasing ASTER tokens under the new initiative.

The buybacks will take place entirely on-chain, and all transactions will be visible to the public through dedicated wallets. Aster said the design aims to create predictable market support while preserving flexibility during volatile trading periods.

Stage 5 Buyback Program: Structured Support for $ASTER

We're implementing a systematic buyback program designed to strengthen $ASTER tokenomics and create sustainable value for our community.

The announcement comes as ASTER traded above $0.70 after a modest daily gain amid broader market strength. The token is still below a crucial resistance level despite short-term price stability.

Daily Buybacks Introduce Structured Fee Allocation

Under Phase 5, Aster will direct 40% of daily platform fees toward automatic on-chain buybacks. These purchases will execute every day through a designated wallet linked directly to the protocol.

Aster stated that the daily structure allows for a steady reduction in supply without relying on discretionary market timing. The company said predictable execution helps reduce uncertainty around token support activity. Each transaction will settle on-chain, allowing users to track volume, timing, and wallet balances.

Aster is committed to providing frequent updates detailing the execution of daily buybacks. The firm described the approach as a basis for a gradual reduction in supply over time. The automatic mechanism eliminates the need for human intervention in day-to-day operations, in contrast to discretionary programs.

Aster emphasized that the process remains tied directly to platform activity through fee generation. As platform usage grows, buyback capacity may adjust alongside daily commission levels.

Strategic Reserve Targets Market Volatility

In addition to daily buybacks, Aster set aside 20% to 40% of fees for strategic purchases. This reserve will activate based on predefined market conditions rather than fixed schedules. Aster said the flexible allocation allows the protocol to respond to short-term price movements.

The company plans to deploy these funds during periods of heightened volatility or liquidity stress. Unlike automatic buys, strategic purchases will occur only when conditions justify intervention. Aster stated this structure provides room to manage liquidity while supporting orderly market behavior.

All strategic buybacks will also execute on-chain and remain publicly verifiable. The company said transparency remains central to the program’s design and reporting standards. Both buyback wallets remain visible and auditable by the community. The firm added that reporting will include progress updates and cumulative execution data.

The launch coincided with ASTER consolidating around $0.714. Market data shows stabilization following a prolonged downtrend earlier in the month. Despite recent gains, ASTER continues to trade below resistance near the $0.80 level. Aster has not linked price movements directly to the buyback rollout.

Instead, the company framed the program as a systematic enhancement of long-term token structure. Phase 5 represents the largest fee allocation to date across Aster’s buyback initiatives.

The program’s start date places implementation at the end of the calendar year. Aster has not disclosed an end date for Phase 5. The company said the structure allows the program to adapt alongside market conditions and platform growth.
