SkyBridge Capital's founder predicts that Bitcoin will reach a new high before the end of 2024
SkyBridge Capital's founder and CEO, Anthony Scaramucci, predicts that with the SEC's approval of a Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF), Bitcoin will reach new highs before the end of 2024. In an interview with CNBC, Scaramucci stated that due to the SEC allowing retail investors access to leading digital assets, Bitcoin could break its historical high level before January 2025. Scaramucci's comments were made within 24 hours of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approving the listing and trading of 11 Bitcoin spot ETFs on NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). This long-awaited approval will enable retail investors to enter the Bitcoin market, providing an alternative for the current financial system and accelerating cryptocurrency adoption. The SkyBridge founder believes that like in crypto community, this decision by SEC is a watershed moment for bitcoin; he said this event is "a very significant breakthrough" for bitcoin as a digital asset.
