IMF chief: Cryptocurrency is an asset class, not a currency
Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), considers cryptocurrency to be an asset class rather than a currency. Kristalina dismissed concerns that Bitcoin could replace the US dollar as the world's main currency, citing the key factors of the size of the US economy and the depth and complexity of its capital markets.
