The stolen funds of cryptocurrencies in 2023 decreased by nearly 54.3% compared to 2022
According to the latest Chainalysis report, despite an increase in the number of crimes, stolen funds from cryptocurrency crimes decreased significantly last year. It is reported that the losses from cryptocurrency theft reached $1.7 billion in 2023, a decrease of nearly 54.3% compared to $3.7 billion in 2022. Additionally, the report also shows an increase in the number of cryptocurrency attacks by North Korean hackers such as Kimsuky and Lazarus Group in 2023. According to records, although North Korean hackers were involved in theft cases worth $1.7 billion and $1 billion respectively in 2022 and 2023, by 2023, the number of crimes will increase to twenty cases.
