The Federal Reserve may start cutting interest rates in March to achieve a soft landing
According to a report by Jin10, economists Stuart Paul and Esther Ou from the institution stated that the conditions for the Federal Reserve to take interest rate cuts in the coming months are already in place. They predict that the Fed will begin lowering its federal funds rate target range in March to achieve a soft landing. More US data will be released next week, with the most important being Friday's monthly employment report. In addition, job vacancy and consumer confidence data to be released on Tuesday, as well as the quarterly Employment Cost Index to be announced during the Fed meeting on Wednesday, will also help reflect the strength of expenditure prospects.
