South Korean crypto karaoke platform Somesing was hacked, causing losses of more than $11.5 million
South Korea's blockchain-based social karaoke platform Somesing was attacked on Saturday, losing 730 million native tokens SSX, worth $11.58 million. The notice stated that the amount of the attack includes 504 million undistributed SSX tokens planned to be circulated by the end of 2025, as well as 226 million SSX held by the Somesing Foundation and currently in circulation. Somesing pointed out that the hacker event has been confirmed to have no relation to any member of the SOMESING team, and from the method, it is speculated that it was done by professional hackers specializing in virtual asset hacking attacks. The incident has been reported to the National Police Agency and requested an investigation into the hacker event, and it was also stated that an alert will be issued to the International Criminal Police Organization.
