Several analysis institutions predict that the approval chances for spot Ethereum ETFs will increase in May
After Franklin Templeton applied for a spot Ethereum ETF, several analysis institutions increased the chances of the spot Ethereum ETF being approved in May. The probability of approval on the decentralized prediction market Polymarket has risen to 48%; Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart predicts a 60% chance of approval; JPMorgan analyst Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou expects a 50% chance of approval in May. Standard Chartered Bank expects that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will give the green light before May 23, but TD Cowen believes that it will not be until 2025 or 2026 for the spot Ethereum ETF to be approved.
