Layer2 network Blast announced on social media that the Blast bridge contract will be upgraded this weekend in preparation for the mainnet launch later this month. The upgrade requires 24 hours, but it will not affect users. The exact date of the mainnet launch will be announced next week. Note: The upgrade is 24 hours and not immediate because the bridge contract has a time lock as an additional security mechanism.
