Cryptocurrency KOL Tiffany Fong has released the first photo of SBF during his pretrial detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn on X platform. The photo was taken on December 17, 2023. SBF (second from the right) looks thin and weak, with messy hair and beard, and is almost unrecognizable compared to his previous appearance.

In December 2023, Tiffany Fong interviewed former MDC inmate Gene Borrello, who revealed that SBF became a target for extortion during his pretrial detention at MDC due to his "cowardly personality" and "almost 80-year-old physique."

Borrello said that there were inmates who tried to scare SBF to extort protection money. Borrello also remembered that when he talked to SBF, SBF appeared very cowardly and nervous.
