Liquidity rehypothecation protocol EigenLayer secures $100 million in funding from a16z
According to Bloomberg, the cryptocurrency venture capital firm a16z has invested $100 million in the liquidity re-collateralization protocol EigenLayer.
EigenLayer, founded by Sreeram Kannan, supports tokens being deposited or "re-pledged" into the network to support verifying transactions on the blockchain, helping new projects built on Ethereum leverage blockchain security to secure their networks.
