Ether meme coin trading volume soars 61% to over $6.4 billion in February
Eth-based meme coin trading volume jumped 61 percent in February from January to more than $6.4 billion, according to Dune data. Meme coins on the ethereum blockchain with a market capitalization of more than $1 billion skyrocketed in February. This includes Pepe, Shib, and Doge, which rose 292%, 57%, and 59%, respectively.MOG and GROK, which have smaller market capitalizations, rose 920% and 172%, respectively, in February from January. While trading volume is dominated by the ethereum blockchain, meme coins on other chains have also performed well, with the Solana eco-meme coin Dogwifhat (WIF) up nearly 700 times since its Dec. 13 launch.
