Arbitrum: ArbOS Atlas Upgrade Proposed for March 14th Execution on Chain, Additional Fee Reductions Introduced March 18th
On March 14, Arbitrum officials posted on social media that the Dencun upgrade has been successfully deployed on the main EtherNet, marking a significant advancement in support for L2 extensions. The upgrade is expected to significantly improve system performance. Next, the ArbOS Atlas upgrade is scheduled to take place on March 14, 2024 at 9:41 a.m. EST (9:41 p.m. BST) on all Arbitrum chains. The upgrade will introduce Blob transactions and EIP-4844 pricing changes, which are expected to become visible within an hour or two of the upgrade. In addition, starting March 18th, Arbitrum One will introduce additional fee waivers.
