The data, released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), has sparked concerns among consumers about the Federal Reserve's interest rate triggers. The core CPI for U.S. food and energy costs rose 0.4%, signaling continued inflationary pressures. Market reactions were mixed.
