Global stock markets ushered in the best first quarter before the epidemic, with an increase of more than 8%
According to Golden Ten, analyst Nour Al Ali said that global stock markets will have their best first quarter since before the outbreak, mainly due to optimism about the global interest rate easing cycle. The MSCI World Index rose more than 8% this quarter, its best start since Q1 2019. Reasons for the stock market rebound this year include a boom in artificial intelligence and data showing some economies are rebounding and others showing resilience. Perhaps the most important factor driving the stock market rally right now is the debate over when major central banks will start cutting interest rates. A surprise interest rate cut by the Swiss National Bank on Thursday was just the boost traders needed to solidify expectations that other central banks will cut interest rates by June, giving stocks another boost.
