domo: BRC-20 to be upgraded soon to support deployer-only self Mint operations and 5-character token names
According to domo, creator of the BRC-20 protocol and founder of the Layer1 Foundation, in a post on the X platform, the proposed BRC-20 Release and Destruction Enhancement Proposal is about to be implemented and is expected to be upgraded at Block Height 837090, at which point BRC20 will support allowing only the deployer to participate in the minting and issuance of assets with a 5-byte code to isolate the assets after they have been deployed to existing assets.
