Astar founder: Cooperation with Sony in the next few months will be crucial
ChainCatcher news, according to TheBlock, Watanabe, founder of smart contract platform Astar Network, said that the new public chain developed with Sony in the next few months is a "very important" stage for the company.
It is reported that Sony has applied for a patent for its "super fungible token" concept for transferring NFTs on the blockchain in the gaming ecosystem. However, Watanabe doesn’t think the blockchains being developed will focus solely on gaming or NFTs. When asked how Japan’s new stablecoin regulations would affect the Astar project, Watanabe said the company was in talks with major banks and companies, but declined to give further details.
