Solana Foundation: Memecoin projects with racial discrimination can be filtered and blocked
According to Mars Finance news, in the past few months, many Memecoin projects containing racist content have appeared on the Solana chain. Austin Federa, communications director of the Solana Foundation, said that filtering and blocking these projects means that wallet developers have the right to develop blacklists. Almost every wallet in the ecosystem filters out junk NFTs and junk tokens, and users always have the ability to reveal something if they want, but the core network needs to remain permissionless. However, Austin Federa said that despite the attention the racist Memecoin project has received, from a macro perspective, they are minuscule compared to the size of the cryptocurrency.
