The assets held by U.S. money market funds have risen to a historical high, as the latest Federal Reserve speech indicates that officials are not in a hurry to start cutting interest rates, and investors expect short-term interest rates to remain high. Data from the Investment Company Association shows that approximately $70.5 billion flowed into U.S. money market funds during the week ending April 3rd, marking the largest single-week increase in three months.
