JPMorgan Optimistic About SEC Approval of Ether Spot ETFs
Although JPMorgan had predicted earlier this year that there was no more than a 50 percent chance that the Ether Spot ETF would be passed by the May deadline for initial review, the firm remains optimistic that the SEC will finally approve the Ether Spot ETF. Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, Managing Director and Global Market Strategist at J.P. Morgan, said that if the Ether Spot ETF is not approved in May, then they expect a litigation process to occur after May. They believe the most likely scenario is that the SEC will ultimately lose this lawsuit (similar to the legal battle between Grayscale and Ripple last year), which means that eventually the SEC will approve the Ether Spot ETF, but probably not before May of this year.
