Ethena faces counterparty risk, and founder Guy Young expressed willingness to discuss possible issues
According to the Odaily Planet Daily report, Tim Copeland, editor-in-chief of The Block, said in the article that Ethena is a complex project. It is like a high-yield stable currency and a combination of structured products and stable currency. The potential difference may be reflected in whether the token is staked or not. Ethena founder Guy Young said in a February conversation that the worst-case scenario facing the project is counterparty risk, which is the risk that funds stored with institutional-grade custodians such as Fireblocks and Copper may be lost for some reason.
He said he was willing to discuss issues that might arise. Ethena is much more transparent and open about its potential risks. For example, it details the seven risks facing the project on its FAQ page and explores each issue in detail, explaining how to monitor certain risk. Copeland concluded that while the issue of Ethena's risk profile is complex, at least this time the risks were discussed in an open and transparent manner.
