Conflux is developing a Bitcoin-compatible Layer3 expansion solution

According to Foresight News, at the 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, Conflux co-founder and CTO Wu Ming revealed that Conflux is developing and applying a Bitcoin-compatible Laye3 expansion solution. This solution has two advantages. One is that it can achieve spiral enhancement of network security. In the Conflux network, current network security and decentralization are achieved through PoS node rotation and DPSS protocol to carry a certain degree of BTC assets across the chain to the Conflux network.

Second, by setting up the virtual machine service API, Virtual Space is separated from the full node process and placed in an independent virtual machine service process, creating conditions for third-party teams and developers to deploy new virtual machines on the Conflux network. Complete the development process of Bitcoin network Layer3, and also complete the modular expansion of the security mechanism of the Conflux network. At this stage, Conflux has planned three main directions for customizable virtual machines: "Virtual machines based on the Move language ecosystem", "High-performance EVM virtual machines based on parallel technology" and "Virtual machines supporting AI-enhanced smart contracts".
