Montenegrin court again approves extradition of Do Kwon, decision to be extradited to South Korea or the United States will be made by the Minister of Justice
PANews reported on April 11 that according to Yonhap News Agency, the Montenegro Court approved the extradition of Do Kwon, the central figure in the cryptocurrency “Terra Luna” collapse. Previously, the Supreme Court of Montenegro invalidated the decision to extradite Do Kwon to South Korea, so the extradition process returned to the starting point and started again. Currently, the final decision rests with the Attorney General. Considering the position previously expressed by the Attorney General, the possibility of Do Kwon being extradited to the United States increases. The Montenegro Podgorica High Court approved Do Kwon's extradition permit, allowing him to be extradited to South Korea or the United States, based on the legal requirements that have been met. The final decision will be made by Justice Minister Andrija Milović. Do Kwon's appeal process has not yet concluded, but given that Minister Milović has publicly stated on several occasions that he wants Do Kwon to be extradited to the United States, the possibility of Do Kwon's extradition to the United States is increasing day by day. Do Kwon can appeal within three days of receiving the translated judgment from the Podgorica High Court. The status of his appeal has not been made public.
