AI dubbing accused of closely resembling famous actor, OpenAI urgently announces discontinuation
On Monday local time, U.S. tech company OpenAI announced that due to widespread questioning by netizens about a female voiceover named Sky from its chatbot ChatGPT, the company is taking measures to address the issue and is temporarily suspending use of this AI voice template. It's reported that after last week's press conference ended, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman immediately posted a single word - "her", indicating that scenes from the sci-fi romance movie "Her" are becoming reality. Because of this metaphor, many netizens realized another problem: The voiceover found by OpenAI seems very similar to Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson who has played Marvel Universe hero "Black Widow" and provided the voice for the AI assistant in "Her".
