UAE Agriculture Department bans farmers from mining cryptocurrencies on farms
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority in the United Arab Emirates has told farmers that their farms cannot be used as mining sites for cryptocurrencies. The government agency stated that this activity is considered "misusing farms for purposes beyond their intended use." Additionally, violators of this regulation will face a maximum penalty of 10,000 UAE dirhams (approximately $2,722).
