Golden Finance reported that Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego suggested buying Bitcoin to prevent the depreciation of fiat currency. It is reported that in 2021, Salinas Pliego called Bitcoin "extraordinary properties" and described it as "the gold of the modern world."
