The price of the GameStop cryptocurrency meme has shot up 120% - here's why
Solana-based meme coin GameStop (GME) gained 120% in the last 24 hours, making it one of the top gainers.
This sharp increase followed a live broadcast announcement by celebrity investor Keith Gill, known as “RoaringKitty", scheduled for today at 19:00 Bulgarian time.

Over the past week, GME is up over 590% at the time of writing, outpacing all other meme coins on Solana , listed on CoinGecko.
The announcement of the live broadcast also gave a boost to the company's shares, which increased to $46.55 per share.
