Ripple expands its business in Japan and South Korea through the XRPL Japan-Korea Fund
PANews reported on June 12 that, according to Fintech Times, Ripple has launched the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund to support the development of these two markets. The fund aims to promote innovative applications of XRP Ledger (XRPL) through various measures such as corporate collaboration, developer funding, startup investment, and community growth. Ripple will collaborate with leading companies in Japan and Korea to explore enterprise applications of XRPL across industries and provide financial, technical and business support for promising projects.
The XRPL Japan and Korea Fund is part of Ripple's commitment to supporting developers with a plan of 1 billion XRP. Through the XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator programs providing financial, technical, and commercial support; it is expected that investments in Japan and South Korea will reach tens of millions of dollars. Ripple's ongoing efforts in Japan and South Korea include establishing SBI Ripple Asia in partnership with SBI Holdings as well as introducing enterprise solutions based on XRPL in cooperation with HashKey DX. In addition, the XRPL will be used at Expo 2025 Osaka for issuing official NFTs.
