New 'Bitcoin Whale' Loses $1 Billion in Two Weeks, Longtime Whale Turns Profit in Early June
Julio Moreno, head of research at CryptoQuant, said the data shows that the new "bitcoin whales" have realized losses of $1 billion over the past two weeks, while the group made a profit during Q1. On the other hand, the long-term whales made a profit in early June. Long-term whales are defined as: 1) average UTXO age of more than 155 days (if less than 155 days, they are short-term whales); 2) balance of more than 1,000 BTC; and 3) no affiliation with CEX or mining companies.
