Defi protocol Hermetica launches stablecoin USDH
The DeFi protocol Hermetica has launched a stablecoin, USDH, supported by BTC. Hermetica claims that USDH can always be exchanged for BTC worth 1 US dollar, providing users with a non-custodial option. This release aims to eliminate the need for Bitcoin users to rely on centralized exchanges or alternative chain-supported fiat stablecoins. The company also announced plans to expand its native Bitcoin defi operations using L2 solutions like Stacks.
