Insider: Circle's valuation is approximately 5 billion dollars before IPO
Circle Internet Financial's privately held stocks are trading on the secondary market, with their price implying a valuation of $50 billion to $52.5 billion for the stablecoin issuer before its planned initial public offering. One insider said that the sellers were early investors or Circle employees who divested for liquidity reasons. Before the company goes public, employees usually have an opportunity to cash in their stock options. Two insiders stated that the company does not allow trades below a valuation of $50 billion.
