U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve to be Funded in Part by Reassessing Fed Gold
According to draft legislation obtained by CoinDesk, Senator Cynthia Lummis (D-CA) has said that the purchase of bitcoin as a new strategic reserve would be funded in part by a revaluation of the Federal Reserve's gold. The plan proposes a "bitcoin purchase programme" of up to 200,000 BTC per year for five years.
