Data: From August 9th to 17th, the Bitcoin hash rate increased from 612 EH/s to 637 EH/s
Despite the price of Bitcoin's computing power hovering below $44 per PH/s daily, the network's computing power has begun to rise again. Between August 9 and 17, the hash rate increased from 612 EH/s to 637 EH/s, an increase of 25 EH/s in eight days. After the difficulty adjustment on August 14, miners significantly improved their computational capabilities. The network difficulty dropped from 90.66 trillion to 86.87 trillion, a decrease of 4.19%, alleviating the pressure brought about by a surge of 10.5% on July 31.
On the day of difficulty adjustment, the hash rate was at 624 EH/s, meaning that there was an addition of13 EH/s within72 hours. The low cost associated with Bitcoin prices and on-chain fees led to a drop in hash rate costs to historically low levels; it even fell to $35 per PH/s on August5.
