OPINION: ZK Proof Too Complex for Decentralized Identity for Government and Agency Adoption
On October 24, Ingo Rübe, CEO and co-founder of decentralized identity provider KILT Protocol, said the highly technical nature of ZK proofs makes it difficult for governments and institutions to adopt them. Decentralized identifiers, such as biometric data, which can be selectively shared with parties and verified on-chain using the Merkle tree, are easier, faster and more efficient than ZK proofs, it explained.
