LayerZero Launches High-Performance Verifiable Database QMDB
LayerZero announced the launch of Quick Merkle Database (QMDB) optimized for blockchain on the X platform. QMDB is a high-performance verifiable database developed by LayerZero Labs, using MIT and Apache-2 licenses, and is completely open source.
· Processes 2.28 million state updates per second, 1 million TPS (benchmark transfer per second).
· After benchmark testing, the workload can reach 15 billion (10 times the state of Ethereum in 2024), and it can be proven to scale to 280 billion records on a single server.
· Each state access is read once and updated with I/O of O(1), and is Merkleized in memory with a storage occupancy of 2.3 bytes per record.
· Efficiently scalable on consumer and enterprise hardware.
