Financial Times: Google makes an additional investment of over 1 billion dollars in Anthropic, a competitor to OpenAI
According to the Financial Times, Google is investing over $1 billion in AI company Anthropic to increase its shareholding. Insiders revealed that Google has committed a total investment of about $2 billion to Anthropic. Meanwhile, venture capital firms led by Lightspeed Venture Partners will inject another $2 billion into Anthropic. After this round of financing is completed, the valuation of Anthropic is expected to double to approximately $60 billion.
