U.S. stocks opened lower and higher, the three major indexes closed collectively higher. The Nasdaq rose 0.87 per cent, the S&P 500 rose 0.67 per cent, and the Dow rose 0.56 per cent. IPO Newsmax fell more than 77 per cent, evaporating more than $23 billion in market value, after the stock surged more than 22 times in the previous two sessions. Most of the large technology stocks rose, Tesla rose more than 5%, Amazon rose 2%, Nvidia, Apple, Nifty rose slightly; Microsoft, Google, Meta, Intel fell slightly.
