Scroll Introduces "Euclid" Upgrade Aiming to Enhance Network Throughput and Security
Ethereum Layer 2 Scroll is rolling out an upgrade that promises a 90% cost reduction while providing higher network throughput and security. The team describes this upgrade, named Euclid, as the "most significant protocol transformation" since the launch of the mainnet. The Euclid upgrade will make five major improvements to the protocol, including migrating to a new L2 "prover" and state commitment system, optimizing rollup processing, and supporting EIP-7702 and RIP-7212.
