Exit polls show Lee Jae-myung to win South Korean election by a landslide

At 8:00 p.m. local time on June 3, voting for South Korea's 21st presidential election officially ended, and exit polls were subsequently released. After the voting concluded, exit poll results released by the three major mainstream TV stations, Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), and Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), indicated that Lee Jae-myung, the candidate from the largest opposition party, the Democratic Party, would win the election with an overwhelming advantage beyond the margin of error. According to the exit poll by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung received 51.7% of the votes, People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo received 39.3% of the votes, and Reform New Party candidate Lee Jun-seok received 7.7% of the votes.
