Ripple Chief Legal Officer Responds to Appeal Rejection, Emphasizes XRP’s Legal Status as a Non-Security Remains Unchanged
Foresight News reports that Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, commented on the U.S. judge’s rejection of both Ripple and the SEC’s requests to pause the appeal, stating, “With this, the ball is back in our court. The court has given us two options: to dismiss our appeal regarding the historic institutional sales ruling, or to proceed with the appeal. Stay tuned. In any case, the legal status of XRP as not being a security will not change. In the meantime, it’s business as usual.”
