Key Risks for Asia from Trump’s Tariffs and Trade Tensions
2025/07/01 03:34According to a report by Jinse Finance, Capital Economics economists stated that Trump's tariffs and ongoing trade tensions remain the main risks for Asia. They added that Vietnam is likely to be the most vulnerable, as it relies most heavily on final demand from the United States. They expect GDP growth across much of Asia to slow slightly this year. With weak economic growth and relatively low inflation, most parts of Asia may see further interest rate cuts in the coming months.
