US Media: DOGE Plans to Use AI to Eliminate 50% of Regulatory Rules Before the First Anniversary of Trump’s Inauguration
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing The Washington Post and four government officials, the U.S. Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) is deploying a new artificial intelligence tool aimed at drastically reducing federal regulations, with the goal of eliminating half of all regulatory requirements before the one-year anniversary of Trump’s inauguration. The tool, named the “DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool,” is set to analyze approximately 200,000 federal regulations to determine which can be eliminated. According to a presentation on July 1, the tool is expected to cut about 100,000 regulatory entries. The report also notes that the tool will save the U.S. trillions of dollars by reducing compliance requirements, slashing the federal budget, and unlocking “external investment.” The report states that within less than two weeks, the tool has already successfully deleted over 1,000 “regulatory provisions” from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and has completed “100% of deregulation work” at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
