Pakistan’s Crypto Minister: The Country’s Demographics Will Drive a “Leapfrog” in Bitcoin Adoption
BlockBeats News, July 27—According to a report by Cointelegraph, Bilal Bin Saqib, Pakistan’s National Minister for Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, stated that the country’s demographic structure will drive a “leapfrog” in Bitcoin adoption, surpassing developed nations in this regard. Bilal Bin Saqib pointed out that Pakistan has 40 million crypto wallets, making it one of the top five countries globally in cryptocurrency adoption. The country’s median age is 20, with a total population of 250 million, 70% of whom are under the age of 30. “Emerging markets will leapfrog in the adoption of these new technologies, and smaller countries are more likely to adopt Bitcoin.”
