ZKsync Unveils Token Allocation Proposal, Plans to Grant 8.5 Million ZK for Two Years of Guardians’ Compensation
Foresight News reports that ZKsync has released a Token Plan Proposal (TPP), which plans to allocate 8.5 million ZK tokens to fund the compensation of ZKsync Guardians for the two-year period from the launch of governance in September 2024 to September 2026. According to the proposal, ZKsync Guardians hold veto power over ZKsync governance, allowing them to reject governance proposals that conflict with ZKsync’s core cypherpunk values. They are also one of the three core institutions of the Emergency Response Committee, responsible for safeguarding ZKsync in times of urgent action. All eligible Guardians, even if they are not active team members of Matter Labs or other ZKsync supporting entities, are entitled to standard compensation.
