Fed Mouthpiece: July CPI May Not Be Enough to Prevent a September Rate Cut
According to a report by Jinse Finance, "Fed mouthpiece" Nick Timiraos stated that after the release of the July employment report, the threshold for a rate cut has changed. Originally, if today's CPI data were very high, the plan for a rate cut in September might have been disrupted. The July CPI data does not indicate 'no inflation,' but its intensity may not be strong enough to prevent a rate cut in September.
