Pirate Nation Blockchain Game Announces Shutdown in 30 Days Due to Insufficient User Base and Cost Considerations
ChainCatcher reports that blockchain game development studio Proof of Play has announced it will shut down the on-chain game Pirate Nation, as well as the Apex and Boss chains, in 30 days due to insufficient user numbers and cost considerations. The team will shift its focus to Proof of Play Arcade, gradually migrating game content to Abstract and other chains.
The official team will hold a final two-week item burn event, where burning items will earn Plunder Certificates for future rewards. Founder’s Pirates will receive a final $PIRATE allocation and will subsequently be converted into community identity NFTs, with no further token rights. The Proof of Play ecosystem will focus on a single-token system centered on $PIRATE.
