According to ChainCatcher, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently disclosed USDT-related data at the USAT presentation event, stating that the global total number of USDT users is nearly 500 million, with a growth rate of 10% in Q4 2024; USDT's market capitalization is close to $170 billion, with an average daily trading volume of about $45 billion, and 35% of the USDT supply is controlled by depositors. If Tether were a country, based on Tether's US Treasury holdings as of Q2 2025, Tether would rank 18th among US Treasury holders. In the second quarter, Tether's user base increased by 30 million; the average daily number of USDT traders reached 17 million. 63% of USDT traders only trade USDT, while approximately 78% of other stablecoin traders also participate in trading other tokens.
