Plasma announces mainnet launch and introduces native token XPL
BlockBeats News, September 25, according to The Block, Layer 1 blockchain Plasma, designed specifically for stablecoins, has announced the launch of its mainnet and the release of its native token XPL. It has also launched a USDT zero-fee transfer feature based on its proprietary consensus mechanism PlasmaBFT, and has already integrated with over 100 DeFi projects.
Plasma positions its new network as infrastructure built for global capital flows. The team stated that the chain is EVM-compatible, and in the initial phase, users can transfer USDT with zero fees. At launch, it has established partnerships with Aave, Ethena, Fluid, Euler, and others.
